Item Description
Pair of posters, both from 1945. First measures 15x27" and features great Big Top scene by Bill Bailey w/animals, clowns, clown band, acrobats, elephants and equestrian performers. "The Greatest Show On Earth" globe logo at lower right. Moderate margin wear w/small tears and trace tag sheet remnants along bottom edge. Upper right corner has had 4.5" piece reattached w/tape repair on reverse and right margin has 4.75" tape repair on reverse to tear w/color touch-up. VG. Second poster measures 21x28" and is text only, referring to three shows that took place in Harrisburg, PA. on July 2, 1945. Evenly aged w/margin wear including moisture staining at top/bottom right margins. Main image area still displays nicely and poster would look VF if matted and framed. Posters comes w/7x26" bagged illustrated carded "Ringmaster Set" by Arandell Products Co. that includes plastic whistle on cord, 5" long plastic gun, cord lasso and 21.5" long wooden handled Ringmaster baton. Sold at Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey circuses as souvenirs as Ringling Barnum Bailey name appears on card which has images of Ringmaster, clown and circus car. c. 1950s. Die-cut card shows moderate wear w/small tears and creasing. Fine. Contents remain sealed in original worn plastic bag. Exc. Scarce in original packaging.
