Item Description
Large 12x30x17" tall wood. Produced by Mengel Co., who produced different items of this nature including swinging and rocker toys, table and chair sets, etc. 1940s. Same design appears on each side, depicting Donald Duck w/his traditional head although on the body of a standard duck, ducklings swim in the water beside him. On chair back is image of boy w/sprinkling can chasing after frogs, still attached is the original vinyl safety belt w/buckle. On one inside surface are attached bells which ring when rocking. Overall moderate trace of dust soiling. One extreme bottom side edge has a 2.5" sliver of wood missing, other small traces of edge wear. Fine. Nice large piece for display w/unusual Donald Duck depiction. From the Tomart Archives and comes with COA signed by Tom Tombusch.
