c. 1950s. Original nicely illustrated cardboard box contains 6" tall tin litho toy w/built-in key (a similar toy was made in larger scale and of hard plastic by Marx known as Party Pluto). Box has original store price sticker on top flap and is complete. Corner tip wear w/some .25" tears but still tight. Scattered small age spots. Fine/VF. Box is scarce. Toy has original rubber ears and tail, both of which remain pliable. Holds baton and bell and has horn in mouth. On/off switch on back. Toy works and rocks back and forth as Pluto shakes both arms and blows the horn (produces a popping sound). Minute scattered paint nicks but totally bright and glossy. Exc.
