Original cardboard box w/die-cut cardboard insert contains four place settings set consisting of a total of 17 pieces (two w/lids). Made in Japan, 1930s. Side of box lid has label listing tea set name as well as Disney copyright and Geo. Borgfeldt name. Box contains matching cups, saucers and plates for Practical Pig, Fiddler Pig and Fifer Pig as well as all three together. All three also appear on the sugar, creamer and teapot. Saucers are 3.25" dia. (4) and plates are 3.75" dia. (4). Plates have "'Three Little Pigs'" name at tops while saucers do not. Teapot is 3.75" tall, sugar is 2.75" tall, creamer is 2.25" tall and tea cups are each 1.25" tall. Box lid shows edge/corner tip wear w/two lid corner splits and partial separation along two layers of cardboard used to make box. Box bottom has 4.5" puncture to bottom. Insert shows wear to foil surface as well as small tears by slots for items. VG overall. One saucer has 3/8" rim chip w/1.25" hairline crack. Good/VG. Rest of set has some tiny scattered traces of wear to the images but set remains VF overall. Scarce set.
