Item Description
Pair of cast iron toys produced as a collaboration between Arcade and Greyhound Lines w/toys made that matched the actual vehicles used at the 1933 and 1939 New York World Fairs. First is 7.5" long painted cast iron 1933 Greyhound bus w/separate cab and white rubber tires. Theses toys were sold in five sizes, this being variation w/text in low relief on top. Rather than mentioning the Fair, it just says "Greyhound Lines GMC." This model had three running Greyhounds on each side. Toy/text have lt. wear. Tires have stresslines, one w/flattened side, but all are complete and original. Fine/VF overall. 1939 bus is 6.75" long painted cast metal w/original black rubber tires and nickel-plated grill. Left front "An Arcade Toy" decal is 100% complete, rear side "Greyhound" decals also show Greyhound logo w/Trylon and Perisphere. One is a bit rough underneath, the other has stress lines. Scattered lt. wear, overall Fine.
