Item Description
The "Disney Girls - Reveal/Conceal Mystery Collection" series of pins consist of a run of designs that are all related by either characters of the same movie or through the design itself. Also included in the Reveal/Conceal series is a "chaser" which is a rarer concealed pin. Traditionally a Reveal/Conceal series will have a long shelf life and are typically a limited release, which means the series is limited edition, although the edition size is not publicly shared. The "Disney Girls Reveal Conceal" series was released on Dec. 12, 2010 from the Disneyland Resort and sold out within hours. This series eloquently depicts some of the most famous Disney Princesses, framed by a gorgeous filigree frame of complimenting colors. In this line of Disney Girls there are three levels to consider and all are identifiable by the detail in the design. On tier one the pin does not have glitter fill or jewels. The second tier has glitter fill along w/a single jewel located at bottom center. The "chaser" or rarest of the run is noted by the inclusion of three jewels that are placed along the lower portion on the Rapunzel pin. Offered here is PinPics #81948, a 1-5/8x1.75" enameled metal pin graded and encapsulated by PinPics depicting Rapunzel from Disney's 2010 computer-animated film "Tangled." This is the rare third tier "chaser" pin, the rarest of the run, noted by the inclusion of three small pink rhinestone accents along bottom and glitter fill accents along bottom margin and to small castle in bkg. Edition size is unknown but conservative estimates are between 45-75. A near flawless copy of arguably the most desired contemporary Disney pin from one of the most attractive series of Disney pins ever made. No fully released contemporary pin has commanded the prices this pin has recently. We sold a 9.3 NM graded example of this pin in our July 2013 auction for $5,175 w/a 9.2 NM graded example selling for $4,074 in our Nov. 2013 auction. The crown jewel of modern Disney pins.
