Item Description
5.75" dia. leatherette on leather backing patch has image of of helmet-wearing bee holding wrench and gear set against warplane silhouette bkg. 1940s. Disney designed for 39th Air Depot Group of San Bernadino, CA., possibly for a repair unit inside the Air Group. This insignia design was shown on page 66 of "Disney Dons Dogtags" book. Strip of heavy aging/soiling along top edge w/rest of patch being moderately aged. VG/Fine. Nice patch. See following items #1706-1708. Rare and first we've offered in our 47 years.
