Item Description
28.5x40" poster was printed in 1943 and features the art of Barbara Marks. OWI Poster No. 76 features iconic and chilling image of swastika-clad Nazi arm holding bayonet, which is stabbed through Holy Bible. Text at bottom reads "This Is The Enemy." This is the larger of two sizes issued. Poster design won first prize in the Artists For Victory contest at the Museum of Modern Art. Folded as issued w/some pinch creases along fold lines, poster has 4.5" and 7.5" creases at top corners w/tiny tear at upper right. Fine overall, but colors remain bold and poster is clean. Would display nicely if framed.
