Item Description
5" tall Fun-E-Flex-like figure w/very interesting story. Complete w/"Micky" (note spelling) label on chest. These were produced by Performo-Toy Co. and distributed by George Borgfeldt Co. The patent for this toy was applied for Aug. 17, 1926, predating Disney's Mickey Mouse by two years. This toy was sold from 1927 to 1931 at which time Disney filed a lawsuit and the courts ordered Performo-Toy to stop all production of these toys and destroy any existing stock despite pre-dating Mickey Mouse. Figure has some lt. aging but is o/w Exc.
