Item Description
Original 27x41" one-sheet poster for the 1953 release of the Columbia short "Rip, Sew And Stitch" which stars The Three Stooges (Moe, Larry and Shemp) who run a tailor shop that is about to be repossessed. When the boys hear about a big reward for fugitive bank robber, they think that catching him might end their financial woes. The robber conveniently ducks into their shop and leaves a suit jacket w/a safe combination in its pocket. After quietly sneaking back into the shop while The Stooges are elsewhere, the robber grabs a handful of suit jackets in hopes of retrieving the combination. He later returns w/his henchmen, and comic hijinks ensue. The Stooges end up getting the reward and pay off their debts as well as winding up w/the robber's bankroll as well. Poster features great central image of The Stooges being strangled w/their own ties. Smaller film scenes at bottom show Moe and Larry hitting Shemp w/hammers and about to use pants press on robber's head. Folded as issued, w/lt. margin wear and staple holes at top/bottom corners. 1/8" tear at right center fold. Tape repair to back of center fold crease intersection w/some minor color touch-ups. Bright, clean and displays Fine.
