Item Description
Three of these four buttons are book photo examples. The one that is not is the bottom right but we have included it as it completes the three varieties of the eagle on globe company logo that are known to us. Of these three the first two are from Collectible Pin-Back Buttons Farm Section items #52 & 53. The first in our photo shows a small eagle and this has 1898-1900 W&H back paper. Below this the eagle is larger and with a more well defined blue sky background along with a different typeface on the globe as well as cloud cover on the globe. This has a very early Bastian back paper. The third variety is quite similar to the second but with much less blue background. To the left of the globe is a 1/8" brown mark with a near microscopic 1/16" hairline craze. This has a W&H back paper 1898-1900. This is the one piece not from Collectible Pin-Back Buttons. Largest button in the group at 1.75" also has Bastian paper and this shows the company logo centered on the remarkable building depicted with surrounding text "J.I. Case Threshing Machine Co./Corn Palace, Mitchell, S.D." Other than the small dot all items are NM displaying Mint. Comes with Hake's COA.
