Item Description
Smallest is 7/8" while the larger are 1.5". The first for "The IHC Line" has collet on the back with extra metal pieces indicating its use for some other purpose but a standard spring pin has been inserted and it basically now functions as a pin-back button. Has back paper from Columbus, Ohio firm that includes 1904 patent date. Second also from "IHC" is not as early but equally rare. Center has somewhat faded olive green background color and upper right has hairline .25" long scratch that shows slightly. Next is 1.25" button with Ehrman back paper with front that announces "Racine Sattley Implements Now Made And Sold By Montgomery Ward Co." Next from the same company has large numeral "23" at center beneath slogan "Not A 'Lemon.'" Has W&H back paper used 1900-1910. First in bottom row from "The Plano Manufacturing Co." with female holding up "The Jones Lever Binder" promoted as "Leads The World" and "No Cog Wheels." Back paper from Geraghty, Chicago. Last is from the same firm with multicolor depiction of the company logo and with unique back paper listing the same company name along with a long list of their products plus tiny text naming the button maker as "Photo Jewelry Mfg. Co. Chicago." Except as noted all are NM displaying Mint. All of these are in the Farm Equipment section of the book and in the order of our photo their book numbers are 156, 157, 162, 163, 67, 68. An outstanding group of farm equipment buttons. Comes with Hake's COA.
