Large 17.5" tall hollow painted chalkware bank depicts Elmer Fudd as he first appeared as the character Egghead Tex Avery introduced in his 1937 cartoon short "Egghead Rides Again." Silvestri Bros. Co. 1965 as noted by incised text on backside of base, along w/Silvestri name. Coin slot on back of Elmer's hat, trap remains unused. Silvestri made all sorts of chalkware items, including TV lamps during the 1950s and 1960s. Unauthorized but nice likeness. Hat has a few scattered production blemishes but bank is o/w Exc.
