Item Description
First is 9.5" tall ribbon badge with large "Delegate" hanger featuring cello center and reverse bar pin. Ribbon has attached highly domed beautifully colored 1.75" celluloid showing firemen holding a baby and descending a ladder to escape flames shooting through building windows. Lower text which is about 95% with its gold accent reads "Third Annual Convention/Western Pennsylvania Firemen's Ass'n/McKeesport, Penna./August 11-12-13, 1896." Next, also c.1896 is 7.5" tall ribbon badge with fireman depicted in beautiful color on the celluloid and brass hanger bar. Silver text below "Firemen's Tournament/Oct. 9, Johnstown, Pa." Mounted across on a diagonal is strip of celluloid reading "Judge." Back of the piece has cardboard label by maker W&H. Only the slightest dust soil traces. Exc.
