Item Description
1-3/8" tall with front naming the fair, date, and showing the Trylon & Perisphere. Minor normal tarnish around the borders. The piece is held by six small prongs into an oval frame with a horizontal bar pin on the back. The medal is sterling and the frame is also marked as such. Because of the open back the reverse can be viewed and read. Reading partially "Official Token Created By Order Of the Executive Committee March 27, 1939 Grover Whalen (facsimile signature)President." Mint except for the typical tarnish. A beautiful piece. The only one we've seen in a frame such as this.
