Item Description
18-7/8x30.75" poster for "A Feast For Young And Old" held Feb. 6, 1897. Bottom of poster has attached 7x16" date sheet for show at "Armory - Sparta," IL. Palmer Cox art at top showing 27 Brownie characters on stage, including Uncle Sam, Chinaman, Dude, Indian, Sailor, Scotsman, etc. Additional text reads "The Grand Juvenile Fairy Spectacular, Living Brownies! Beautiful Fairies! Grotesque Imported Costumes! Elaborate Production By Home Talent." Poster was originally folded as issued and has now been linen-mounted. As such, few lt. crease lines are still visible, but overall appearance is VF as mounted and could be framed for an Exc. display. Great design w/nice art by Brownies creator. Impressive size, extremely limited distribution.
