Item Description
Lot of 6 Civil War tokens in two separate groups, five of which fall into the "Patriotics" category and one that falls into the "Store Card" category. The "Patriotic" group is as follows: "Capped" Liberty dated 1863 on the obverse w/"Army & Navy", crossed swords, and wreaths on the reverse, "Indian" Head dated 1863 on the obverse w/cannons, a drum, flags, and wreaths on the reverse, "The Flag Of Our Union" dated 1863 on the obverse w/"If anybody attempts to tear it down shoot him on the spot, DIX" on the reverse, "Our Country" w/ shield and wreaths on the obverse and cannons, a drum, flags, and wreaths on the reverse, and "First in War, First in Peace" dated 1863 on the obverse w/"Union For Ever", shield, flags, & wreaths. The "Store Card" variety has a "Feuchtwanger" eagle dated 1863 on the obverse w/"I. Rees 401 Central Ave. Cincinnati, O." on the reverse. All of the tokens range in VF-XF condition.
