Item Description
First is U.S.A. button which came in two versions, a 3.5" cello and a 4" litho. This is the litho with their names and text "I'm A Official Beatles Fan" and with curl reading "©Nems Ent. Ltd. 64." Tiny raised bump on Ringo's cheek caused by reverse bar pin in assembly but otherwise just a couple of scattered 1/16" scratches that show little. With it comes 1.5" button reading "Free John Now!" with marijuana leaves below. This button is from a rally by that name held December 10, 1971 in Ann Arbor Michigan. The show was headlined by John Lennon to protest John Sinclair's arrest for marijuana possession. It was Lennon's first performance in the U.S. since the Beatles split. Sinclair was released from jail three days later. This button is scarce and Mint.
