Auction #212 - Part II
Item numbers 989 through 2633 in auction 212
Item Description
This 1950 unusual premium from Nabisco consists of a gold plastic wrist band with 1-3/8” diameter container that twists onto the bracelet top. The container lid opens to serve as a secret compartment. On this example, the container base recessed circle does not grip the raised circle on the bracelet top. This is the main reason complete examples are so scarce, kids quickly lost the compartment and the two contained items. One is a plastic cowrie shell while the other is a gold plastic arrowhead inscribed “Straight Arrow." The underside of the compartment has the Straight Arrow code word “Kwa’yo.” The instructions which came with this item in 1950 explain that this “Hidden Secret Word” means “Hawk” in Indian. Essentially Mint as issued except a little putty needed to hold the compartment in place. Rarely found complete. From the Robert M. Overstreet Collection and comes with COA.
