Item Description
This rare 3" button features a color photo without dot screen. While it displays well it has significant damage. On the reverse a narrow strip of the paper and acetate covering along a length of 1.5" did not tuck under the metal back although from the front this just makes a slight bulge on the lower edge. The button is also slightly bent and across the top above their photo there are about a dozen very tiny indents in the acetate covering along with scattered all over scuff marks. There is however, no stain and the button has full gloss. Rim text is "Give Peace A Chance/John & Yoko." In the background a pair of hands hold a small sign "War Is Over!" Photo is likely from July 1, 1969 "Bed-In" during which the song "Give Peace A Chance" was recorded. Our first undamaged example back in the 1990s exceeded $300.00, our second undamaged example from about ten years ago exceeded $600.00. Rare.
