Item Description
1.25" with union bug back stamp. Movie title is "Davy Crockett Indian Scout" referring to a 1950 movie in which George Montgomery portrays Crockett's same-named nephew, a military scout providing safe passage for wagon trains. Top edge of button names famed dime store "F.W. Woolworth Co." while lower text names local theatre "Warner Starts Wed. Apr. 6." The Disney Davy mania did not begin until 1954. This is a rare local issue and the button is NM displaying Mint.
