Item Description
First is Dog-Whistle instruction folder 3-5/8x4.75" which describes the whistle's use. The whistle itself is 3-3/8" tall brass tube accented by flat die-cut head of a dog on the top end. The tube extends to 5.25" and moving it in and out and blowing will produce various frequencies. This is an Ovaltine premium but does not carry Annie's name but it was offered as her premium in 1940 and the next year Ovaltine also offered it for Captain Midnight. Most luster off the whistle but the folder is NM. Next is the Sun-Watch. This is from 1939 and the device is 1.5" made of brass with various Egyptian-like symbols on the reverse. Front has frosty silver dial with working inset compass as well as hinged brass piece to pull up serving as a sun dial pointer. Included is lightly folded instruction folder that opens to 6x8.5". Very trivial dust traces and small creases. The brass premium is NM. The folders are actually scarcer than the metal premiums. A nice group of four pieces.
