Auction #212 - Part II
Item numbers 989 through 2633 in auction 212
Item Description
Ring consists of a deep red plastic base with a circular yellow cover that fits on the top. The cover shows a raised propeller and wing design. When this is removed the top of the red base has the outline of an airplane with the word "Pilot" printed backwards. The backward text indicates that the interior of the yellow top once held a ink pad so that the ring could be used as an ink stamper. No pad and no traces of ink but the rest remains essentially Mint. Probably c.late 1940s. Issuer unknown. From the Robert M. Overstreet Collection. Comes with COA.
