Auction #212 - Part II
Item numbers 989 through 2633 in auction 212
Item Description
First is 1.25" button with back paper by Bastian. This has a matte finish so that a name could be written upon it but none is present. Circular text reads "Executive Radio Council/Convention New York 1921." Slightest trace of dust soil but VF and first we've seen. Second is six-sided brass badge with blue enamel center featuring a serial number "1182" beneath the words "Radio World's Fair/1925/Exhibitor." Made by W&H. NM and rare. Next is 1.75" button with metal back and vertical pin. This also has a serial number "6942" with additional text "Aerovox Wireless Corp/No Admittance Without This Button/Must Be Worn During Working Hours." This firm began in 1922 with the name "Radiola Wireless Corp" and they were an early maker of radios. This button is c.1930s after the name change. Last is a brass lapel stud with threaded cap on the reverse. 9/16" diameter. Shown is a hand holding a microphone inscribed "NBC" on the side. Three very tiny lines of text read "Broadcasting In The Public Interest." Panel at the bottom reads "Ten Years." From very early in the company's history. NM. Four interesting and rare radio history pieces.
