Item Description
10-3/8x13.25" sign printed on thin cardboard advertises the first issue of "Mickey Mouse Magazine" published by Hal Horne. 1935. Sign features cover image from that issue, showing large full body image of Mickey opening book, from which various Disney characters (including Minnie Mouse, the Three Little Pigs, Clarabelle Cow, Donald Duck, Horace Horsecollar, Pluto and Goofy) spill from. Text at bottom reads "A Fun-Book For Boys And Girls To Read To Grown-Ups." Sign has slight fade as evidenced by darker margins as once framed. .25" sliver off upper left margin and some minor margin wear. Fine overall. Very rare and first we've seen in our 47 years. A must-have to go w/your "Mickey Mouse Magazine" collection. From the Don Maris Collection.
