Item Description
Pair of tin litho banks. First is 6" tall English Mickey Mouse "Post Office" bank, one of four varieties, this being variety w/images of Mickey holding a letter addressed to Donald Duck w/Minnie Mouse and Nephews (one of Mickey's and one of Donald's) surrounding him. Series 112. 1930s. Coin slot on side. Scattered lt. wear and aging, w/two .25" indents at base. Fine. Second is 6.5x3x3.5" tall Donald Duck mechanical "2nd National Duck Bank" by Chein. 1950s. "The Teller" window on front has Donald portrait and when locked into place, a tray representing his tongue sticks out. A coin is then placed on this and a button to the left side is pressed causing his tongue to go back in his mouth depositing the coin in the bank as door shuts to reveal second Donald portrait. Bank also features images of Mickey and Minnie, Nephews, Goofy, Pluto, Pinocchio and Figaro. Scattered lt. edge wear. Complete w/trap, though trap appears to have been repainted. VF.
