Item Description
Lot of five wooden toys, made in France in the 1930s by unknown maker, but each stamped "Depose." Three measure 6" long by 6" to 7.5" tall and feature similar style w/jigsawed wooden forms of fox, monkey and frog seated on tricycles. When pushed, wheels move jointed legs, giving the appearance of the toys pedaling. 7.5" long chicken pulling cart w/carved wooden egg. When pushed, carved peep pops up and down out of open egg top. Scattered lt. aging/wear. VF. Last item is 11" long pull toy depicted African-American man seated in cart pulled by ostrich. Man's body is painted wood w/cardboard legs/arms and ostrich is jigsawed wood. Moderate aging and scattered paint wear. Fine overall.
