9x14" illustrated card features full body image of Batman w/this gun in hand. Smaller image of Robin in bkg. Card contains rare set made in England by Lone Star, ©1966 NPP, Inc. 7.25" long plastic cap-firing gun is in futuristic ray gun style and features bat attachments on grips and separate plastic sight w/front sight being small bat attached at tip of barrel. Gun has age toning to grips and main body of gun as housed in holster, barrel remains original lt. blue color. Painted metal trigger and cap chamber (that fired roll caps) have paint wear and plastic bat attachment on right grip has .25" crack on wing tip, but remains attached to grip. Tiny .25" crack on back center tip of gun design. VG overall. 7.75" long vinyl-covered leather holster comes w/original vinyl belt and metal buckle, which has oxidation. Holster has "Batman" name in gold lettering and odd batsymbol design. Holster has never been removed from card and remains attached w/original staples. VF. Card shows handling wear w/several creases and edge wear. Fine overall. This gun is rare and is very rare as carded. From the collection of Chip Kidd, renowned author, graphic designer and pop culture enthusiast extraordinaire.
