Item Description
3x7". Dated "September 10th 1840." Text at sides of eagle reads "Ft. Meigs, Thames/Tippecanoe." Oval portrait with his name above is surrounded by state seals of Maine, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Rhode Island and an American eagle. Border of tiny stitch holes on all four sides. Likely removed from a quilt. 1/16" nick on right edge. Clean and VF. Julie Powell Collection.
