Item Description
Original cardboard box w/illustrated cardboard lid contains 11.75" long tin litho friction truck made in Japan by Bandai, c. 1956. Underside of truck has Bandai's "B" trademark. Box bottom is stamped "Red," though this is baby blue/navy blue truck. Box lid has tape repair to 3" corner tear/split and box shows aging w/fade to box bottom. VG. Truck's thin plastic windshield remains intact and reveals detailed tin litho interior w/separate metal steering wheel. Plated bumpers, hood ornament, door handles and window frame. Metal "Ford" hubcaps. Tailgate swings open. Doors have separate oval tin litho attachment w/elephant image and "Ford Lasts Longer" text. This image/text is repeated on tailgate. Hubcaps and window frame have some loss of finish w/scattered trace oxidation. Truck's paint shows scattered wear. Friction action works well. Fine overall.
