Item Description
Each is 3.5x5.5". Each is printed by Schmidt Bros. & Co. Chicago with Dec. 26, 1911 patent date. Using the same background of the Capitol on the left and the White House on the right each postcard features an illustrated mascot representing each political party running toward the White House with a metal spring tail attached. Each with candidates pictures on lower right with slogan or text center bottom. Teddy Roosevelt has illustration lower left of safari hat with text "The TR Hat." Light creases seen in reflected light. Taft has illustration of "The Steam Roller" at lower left and asks "Has He Got Enough Steam?" inked notation on back includes "Do You Think This Windbag Stands A Chance." Exc. Wilson has illustration of "The New Jersey Mosquito" and asks "Will He Get Stung?" Slight wear on card at base of Wilson's donkey tail but spring will stand vertically. Complete set.
