8.5x11.5" hardcover w/gold-stamped spine has eight issues w/covers including Clara Bow, Mary Philbin, Greta Garbo and others. Covers are by illustrator Charles Sheldon w/some inside art by Frank Godwin. Full page photos and other items of note include - Joan Crawford, Charlie Chaplin ads for "The Circus," two-page article on Lon Chaney (w/photos), Valentino article, William Boyd (well before his Hopalong Cassidy days), two-page article on Mary Pickford, Clara Bow article, ad for Lon Chaney film "Laugh, Clown, Laugh" and much, much more. Covers have scattered handling wear w/scuffs and edge wear, a few w/inking. Page edges have some aging and pages have some scattered dust soiling and wear; one w/small piece of tape. Overall covers Fine, insides VF. Wonderful slice of cinema history as it was being made during the transition from silent to sound, including some nice photogravure pages.
