©1972. Aurora made a series of highly detailed snap-together model kits with modular bases that connected to create a prehistoric world in 1/13 scale. There were 14 kits in the initial series and three added c. 1975 for a total of 17 in the set. This item is a store display with 13x16x24" cardboard diorama base w/factory painted model of The Giant Woolly Mammoth kit. Plastic model base is dry brushed to bring out the details. The Mammoth is left in its molded brown plastic w/small details painted. Cardboard background shows the other 13 original kits in a painted scene. An amazing display piece and the focal point of a model collection. Rare and first we've offered.
