Item Description
9" long hand-painted tin litho revolver style clicker gun (but w/o trigger or clicker mechanism). Prototype from the Marx factory. c. 1930s. Extremely high quality prototype has very detailed hand-painted images w/much attention paid to grips, bullet chamber, safety, simulated screws. Nice full color Tracy portrait above left grip w/"Dick Tracy Pistol" name behind bullet chamber and "Detective Model .38" text on barrel w/Famous Artists Syndicate Inc. licensing notation on other side. Other side features completely different full color image of Tracy w/gun drawn behind bullet chamber and "Dick Tracy Model .38 Cal." hand-painted text on barrel. Moderate scattered paint nicks and dust soiling to grips. Fine. Unique.
