Item Description
These five buttons were used for the photos in Hake's Collectible Pin-Back Buttons 1896-1986. First is 7/8" with celluloid insert in back, the earliest used by W&H in 1896. Front reads "William Mills & Son/New York/Fishing Tackle" while below the somewhat smiling fish is small type "Leonard's Rods." Next is 1.25" button with horizontal bar pin. It has tinted color and reads "June 8th 1902 Q.C.F.C." Although we don't know the city name the final two letter probably represent Fishing Club. Two pinpoints of age on the rim barely seen and a few around the metal reverse. Third has Western Badge back paper with front showing fishing equipment and naming "Sunshine Outing Club." Tiny age dots but glossy. Fourth is 1-5/8" oval but with numerous cracks in the celluloid. Issued for Nebraska 1927 "State Convention Izaak Walton League." Still displays well. Last is 1" issued for "Conesus Lake 1940 Member Sportsmen's Club Inc." Mint. Group comes with Hake's COA.
