27.5x39.25" poster for 1968 Turkish release of the 1942 Republic Pictures movie serial based on the Fawcett Comics character Spy Smasher. Interestingly, this poster has elected not to feature Spy Smasher at all, instead opting to depict full body images of popular DC Comics characters Superman, Batman and Robin. These characters are depicted close to how they appeared in comic books of the era, though in odd color costumes. A character who appears to be a spaceman fires energy rays from a machine towards the heroes from large machine he holds. Kane Richmond, who starred as both Spy Smasher and his alter ego (as well as his own twin brother) is listed on poster, Poster has been folded as issued w/some lt. margin wear and small tears at fold crease intersections. Colors remain bright and bold and poster would display VF if framed. Rare and unusual movie serial poster.
