Item Description
First is 7/8" c.1900 with real photo of him in uniform. Pair of tiny threads trapped under cello at far left but NM as made. Second is 1.5" cardboard real photo with his name below held in a brass rim with tiny tabs folding over the back which contains tin plate with slot at top holding a vertical brass stickpin. Some small tan marks upper left and small white mark on his ear at right. Both of these portrait buttons are the only examples we've seen. Third is 7/8" Australian made button from the WWI era with outer text "Character-Handicrafts-Service For Others-Physical Health" and interior text "Boy Scout/Be Prepared." First seen and Exc. Last is a 1" WWI award button with the number "25" below. The center logo with letters standing for War Savings Stamps and additional text "Achievement Award/Boy Scouts Of America." Back paper by American Artworks. NM displaying Mint and scarce.
