Item Description
2.25" pocket mirror. Dots of silvering off the mirror side but about 90% remaining. Beneath the building with freshly planted spindly trees in the foreground is a text panel reading "Mormon Tabernacle/The Johnson Co. Salt Lake, Utah." Beneath the panel near the very bottom edge is tiny white text reading "Tabernacle, Salt Lake Utah." On the lower right extreme edge is a caption with this lettering showing "Photo By The John...Salt..." This amazing structure was built between 1864 and 1867 with a domed roof held together by dowels and wedges, mostly because nails were so scarce in pioneer Utah. This piece was produced c.1900-1910. Exc. and displays Mint. One seen.
