These immensely popular and widely collected comic character buttons were issued one per cereal box in 1945-1946. Each is 13/16" tin litho. Those among the 86 that have some small visual defect, usually a few tiny paint marks, include Andy Gump, Barney Google, Daisy, Denny, Fritz, Goofy, Gravel Gertie, Herby, Jiggs, Judy, Kayo, Little King, Lord Plushbottom, Maggie, Pat Patton, Popeye, Pop Jenks, Warbucks. While it's a fairly long list the defects are tiny and these are at least Fine with all the other grading between VF and Mint. As a group they display very close to Mint and the defects are revealed only upon very close inspection. Superior to most typical sets.
