Item Description
Sizes are 13/16" to 1.25". First, probably from the 1920s has Bastian paper and pictures and reads "Polly Perkins Now In The News." Second with Lucke badge paper pictures and reads "June Junior Club Sunday Baltimore American." Tiny 1/16" indent at upper right but still displays Mint. Next and also likely 1920s has union back stamp with front having facsimile signature of cartoonist "Sydney Smith" and showing his character Old Doc Yak with him holding a board with protruding nail and with text "You Can't Get My Goat/Chicago Examiner." A few near pinpoint splits on reverse by the collet but the front displays Mint. Next is scarce litho by Green Duck with front naming "S.F. Chronicle/Kayo Comics Club." Next picture the same identical character with text "Seckatary Hawkins Club." First name "Lancaster Sunday News" and is rare. Second names "Baltimore Sunday American" and is scarce. Typically these name a Detroit paper. First has Bastian paper and second has Lucke Badge paper. Next with Offset Gravure paper from NYC reads "Star Comics Funny Pages/Good Neighbor Club/Funny Picture Stories/Star Ranger." c.1940s and first we've seen. Last with W&H paper has tiny craze lines on the celluloid but displays cleanly. Pictures "Uncle Jack Bundy/W.M.B.C. Detroit Times Comic Club."
