Item Description
First are a pair of 2.75" rectangles each marked on the bottom curl "American Film Co." On the first the silvering is Mint and on the second badly crazed and with about 30% missing. First mirror pictures "Mary Miles Minter." Right edge and lower corner has small area of tan stain while much of the rest of the surface has small brown specks but these are actually in the printing and not damage. Second with a matte finish pictures "Gail Kane." Small brown mark beneath her last name was dirt now 95% removed. Last is 2.75" oval with intact silvering and just a single age dot along the reverse. Mirror was made by Cruver, Chicago. Movie promotes a Polish film titled "Love Or A Kingdom" released in the USA December 3, 1937 although this mirror is dated for "1938 Happy New Year" with added text "Superior Polish Production With Complete English Dialogue Titles/Soon At Granada Theatre." Mirror pictures the character Barbara Radziwillowna with the story involving a royal love tale in Lithuania in the mid-1500s. The actress pictured on the mirror is Jadwiga Smosarska. All are rare.
