Item Description
1/8" thick piece of wood which is 2" wide. Elephant is outlined in red ink and inscription is in matching red ink. With a pencil a small eye and ear have been added. Item is likely used at his notification ceremony after receiving the 1940 nomination. Item was apparently once glued to a fabric ribbon. Has a few tiny traces of threads on the reverse. First we've seen.
