Item Description
Complete example of the first licensed Disney publication. 9x12" w/16 pages. By Bibo & Lang, ©1930. This is a second to fourth printing, as these printings are indistinguishable from one another. However, we know it is not a first printing as there are Win Smith Mickey Mouse daily strips on page 8 and back cover, the words "Printed In U.S.A." on the front cover and age of Bobbette Bibo specified on the title page. Typically found w/pages 9-10 removed but this complete copy has these pages intact. Featured on page 9 are "Mickey Mouse Pawns," cut-outs to be used w/"Mickey Mouse Journey" gameboard that appears on page 7. The rest of the book features a Mickey story of how he met Walt Disney and got his name, music for song "Mickey Mouse You Cute Little Feller" and nice illustrations throughout including two which are full page. Cover shows wear w/pinch creases and surface rubs along spine and corner tip wear. Cover is evenly aged and has some scattered handling wear/creases. Contents have very lt. aging w/some scattered dust soiling and corner tip wear. Fine overall. Still a solid, complete copy of this historic Disney publication.
