8.75" tall (larger of two sizes) painted and glazed ceramic from series by Brayton Laguna based on character from the Disney cartoon "Ferdinand The Bull." c. 1938. Characters from this animated short are caricatures of various Disney personnel, most notably Walt Disney himself who is depicted here as the Matador. Matador's hat has had some repairs to crazing flakes and has repair to broken neck (w/small nick out at back). Back edge of cape has .25" chip repair. Figurine remains bright and glossy and still displays nicely. Impressive and striking figurine, only the fourth time we've offered this in our 48 years. See following items #1887-1889.
