Item Description
Pair of movie-related premium items. First is 5" long cardboard tube w/5.75" long metal slide containing three bw movie film cels. Tube is illustrated and includes film image w/"Your Favorite Movie Star - Shown On A Screen In Your Own Home" text. Pordell Projector, Inc. c. 1920s. Tube was designed to have flashlight inserted, projecting film scene. Tube has moderate dust soiling and slide has some scattered oxidation. Fine overall. Comes w/additional film strip of 25 scenes from Paramount films (including Western, historical and adventure scenes), as projector notes "25 Scenes Included." Exc. Original small mailing envelope w/RKO Radio Pictures, Inc. return address contains 2.25x3" promotional flip book w/textured paper cover and actual film scenes from 1940 romantic comedy "The Villain Still Pursued Her" starring Hugh Herbert, Anita Louise, Alan Mowbray, Buster Keaton and others. Sent to theaters as a promotional item. Appears unused w/tight corners. NM. Envelope shows wear from mailing and is VG/Fine. Both projector and flip book are rare.
