Item Description
Pair of 3.5x5.75" books w/stiff paper covers and 52 pages. Published by Whitman, ©1934 Stephen Slesinger, Inc. From a series of rare premium books issued w/different back cover colors w/or w/o ads. Both examples offered here are blue back varieties. First features back cover w/ad for Lemix and Korlix Desserts by Perkins Products Co. plus list of eight books in this series that also includes two Tarzan titles. Book has lt. even aging and minor corner tip wear but is still a high grade VF/NM example. Second book's back cover has been re-purposed as a premium for store w/large sticker reading "Griswold's 50th Anniversary" covering nearly all of the blue portion of the back cover. This shows some dust soiling and has tiny edge nick. Book's cover is also lightly aged. Corner tip wear w/some lt. creasing by staples. Fine/VF. All pages are lightly aged but remain VF/NM overall.
