Item Description
9.25x12x1" deep cardboard box contains Whitman set #3043. c. 1936. While the set itself features non-Disney contents, the lid features the same separate die-cut cardboard Mickey Mouse figure that was also used on the "Mickey Mouse Big Big Box," Whitman set #2170. 5.25" tall Mickey figure is affixed to the center of the lid w/"Three Colored Crayons - 96 Pages Of Pictures To Color" text below. Crayons are missing but all pages remain and feature a wide assortment of images including toys, children, nursery rhyme characters, flowers, fruit, etc. Several pages have been colored, all pages have lightly tanned w/age. Both box lid and bottom have several 1" edge splits. Box bottom also has 5" split along one edge. Lid has scattered dust soiling and small inked name at top right. Box remains VG/Fine. Mickey figure itself shows only slight aging and is VF/Exc. A rare set, only offered one other time by us in our 48 years. From the Rogers M. Fred, Jr. BLB & Related Collection.
