Item Description
Original 11x14.25x2.5" deep cardboard box w/illustrated lid contains 1940s gun and holster set by Leslie-Henry Co., Inc. Tooled leather holsters w/vinyl piping to top sections of holsters (two separated pieces joined by leather straps), which have large metal attachments w/large plastic accent stone at centers. Holster pockets measure 9.75" tall and have matching metal attachments w/accent stones and metal accents along edges. Leather has hardened w/age, so belt/holsters remain in shape as boxed. Metal rivets and attachments show heavy oxidation. Good/VG overall. Guns are matched pair, 9" long nickel-plated die-cast w/ivory plastic horsehead grips. Raised "Texas" name and rearing horse below bullet chamber. One gun has moderate aging/oxidation to metal parts (most evident on gun's barrel) as boxed in holster. Scattered aging to one grip. VG. Other gun shows lesser degree of aging and just tiny spot of oxidation. One grip has even but moderate aging. Fine overall. Both are unfired. Box shows scattered wear w/creases at lid corners and streak of moisture staining along top edge. Lid has all over dust soiling. Fine overall.
