Item Description
Lot of four 3x4" shield-shaped and one 3.5x4-5/8" rectangular patch w/silk-screened designs. 1940s, each © Fawcett Publications Inc. First three are three-color patches - "Captain Marvel Club, Capt. Marvel Jr." and "Mary Marvel." First two are on blue bkg. while Mary Marvel is on green bkg. This patch also has had snaps added w/thread on reverse at top corners and bottom center point. This does not greatly detract from front's overall appearance, which remains Fine. Varying degrees of wear to backing material. Fine-VF overall. Fourth shield-shaped badge is from scarcer four-color series and features different image of "Captain Marvel" w/"Shazam" magic word and lightning bolt. Scattered lt. wear to backing material, but front remains clean and displays Exc. Last patch is for rare "Capt. Marvel Club" and features silk-screened flying image of Captain Marvel set against large lightning bolt. Front design shows some scattered wear (mainly to blue bkg. areas) and is Fine overall. This patch is rarest in the lot.
