Item Description
32.5x58.75" tall die-cut cardboard standee w/silk-screened design is for the original release of the 1950 musical comedy starring Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis. Standee features 24x25.25" specialty paste-on photo print showing the pair in Army uniforms. Horizontal fold at center as issued. Standee shows moderate edge wear w/small creases and tears w/a number of 1" tears along bottom. Scattered long creases, more prevalent on bottom half. Corner tip wear w/heavy creasing at top left and moisture staining at top right. Back does not have easel standee as produced, instead, this display was secured w/reinforced cardboard discs w/string at middle (now broken). VG overall, but still retains vibrant color. While studios made standees for a high percentage of Hollywood productions, very few are known to survive from pre-1970 movies. This is a high-end promotional item that saw very limited distribution as most theaters chose to display the basic movie poster for promotional purposes. First we've seen in our 48 years.
